Using The NFC Task Launcher App
What are Task Launcher Apps ?
Task launcher is a great way to bring the benefits of NFC into daily life. Whether the tag turns your phone to silent when you get home from work or turns on your Bluetooth as you get into the car, the options are limitless.
Some phones, such as Sony's Xperia NFC phones have some task launcher functions built in. However, you can also download the popular 'NFC Task Launcher' Application for Android which is free to download on Google Play.

2. Home Screen
Tap '+' in the top right corner or select from one the preset options. For this example, we'll click the '+'.
3. Create 'New Task'
Tap 'New Task' to create a custom tag.
4. Add Action
Tap 'Add Action' to view your task launcher options. We have also added 'RapidNFC Demo' to give the tag a name. This is for generally for your use only, it's not necessary to store this onto the tag.
5. Select Which Action Group
You will see listed a whole selection of different actions to perform. In this example, we are going to modify WiFi settings so we click on 'Wireless and Networks'.
6. Select Specific Action
After selecting your action group in the previous step, you will now see a range of particular options. In this example, we are going to select 'WiFi On/Off'. Tap on the selection and you should see a tick in the check box. Now tap on 'next' at the bottom of the screen.
7. Configure Action
A pop-up will confirm the actions you are setting. In this example, we make sure 'Enable' is selected because we are going to turn on WiFi and then click 'OK' to proceed.
8. Finish Selection
Now you have selected your actions, you can tap on 'Save & Write' in the top right to encode your tag.
9. Encode Your Tag
Just hold the phone against the tag to encode. You also have the option to 'Make tag read-only' or encode multiple tags if you are encoding more than one tag. Note that selecting 'make tag read-only' will lock the tags so they can't ever be changed !
10. Done !
Press OK and your tag has been encoded. Now you can just scan your tag to activate Wifi on/off.
