1793 At a Court of Nizamut Adawlut, present The Most Noble Marquis Cornwallis K.G. Governor General Commander in Chief, William Cowper Esquire, Thomas Graham Esquire, absent W Speke (Governor General in Council) reject two death mercy petitions of Durrum(Duman?) Gheer and Ram Dehul. Many other cases are considered by them including one that deals with disposal of recovered property from the dakoits. These papers were in haphazard bundle. But I tried to arrange and number them with pencil as far as possible. There are 16 pages, of which 4 are blanks. The letters ‘i’ and‘s’ are missing in Cornwallis. It mentions 19 annexures. But I could not find them. I suspect that the last 2 leafs is an annexure. This order is passed by Henry Ramus(Ramees) Senior Judge of Moorshedabad. The document is so huge that it is not possible to upload all pages. The seal is the official seal of Henry Ramus

 Item condition: Very poor, to be handled very very carefully. Paper thick and softened. Split at folds at some places. I have given a transparent cover to protect from further damage.
