Chance listings policyIf you intend to sell on one or more of eBay's international sites, you will need to accept, and we encourage you to carefully review, the User Agreement, policies, and other requirements of that site. You can continue to reach out to the relevant customer service teams on the respective eBay site of your listing or transaction, as may be applicable to the nature of your query.
Policy overviewWe don't allow listings that sell an opportunity to win an item either by chance or in a skill contest. Specifically, we don't allow listings that promote giveaways, lotteries, sweepstakes, random drawings, raffles, or contests. These types of promotions are highly regulated and may be unlawful in many states. We may run such promotions on eBay sites, and we may allow our partners or third-party companies to run promotions that follow applicable laws. Make sure your listings follow these guidelines. If they don't, some or all of your listings may be ended or not displayed in the eBay search results. You may be subject to a range of other actions, including listing fees not being refunded and limits of your buying and selling privileges. What are the guidelines?
All eBay members must comply with government laws and regulations. Since giveaways, lotteries, sweepstakes, random drawings, and raffles are highly regulated or may cause harm to us or our members, we don't allow these types of listings. Although listings for items such as "grab bags" are generally permissible, this policy provides guidelines to help you determine when these types of listings may be deemed a lottery, sweepstake, or other promotional opportunity that we don't allow.
