Warranties PolicyIf you intend to sell on one or more of eBay's international sites, you will need to accept, and we encourage you to carefully review, the User Agreement, policies, and other requirements of that site. You can continue to reach out to the relevant customer service teams on the respective eBay site of your listing or transaction, as may be applicable to the nature of your query.
Policy overviewSellers who offer to sell their items valued at more than Rs. 1000 on eBay and who offer either a written warranty or a service contract with the items must provide the following in the item descriptions:
Note: Effective 16th November, 2016, warranty details in the 'Item Specifics' has been made mandatory while listing on our site for the following categories. To know more about different type of warranties, click here. Make sure your listing follows these guidelines. If it doesn't, it may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including limits of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.
The policy will help bring greater transparency in the warranty offered by Sellers in their listings, thereby reducing ambiguity. Also, as you are aware, sellers and buyers are required to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
