Seller Registration

All eBay users with an Indian domiciled address (users who have registered on eBay with an Indian address) need to complete their Seller Registration to list items on any of the eBay sites.

To complete your Seller registration you can either start by clicking sell on any of the eBay sites you wish to start your selling activity or click here to complete your Seller registration first and then start selling.

Once you are on the Seller Registration page you will be required to submit a few business information details and scanned documents that are mandatory.

Enter your Business Info:

  • Business Type

  • Permanent Account Number (PAN)

  • Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN)

Next step is to upload the scanned documents that are mandatory.

Upload Documents:

Please upload documents in any of these formats & file size: JPEG / PNG / PDF formats only. (Maximum allowed file size is 5MB)

  • Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card scanned document

  • Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) Registration Certificate scanned document

Please note that the PAN and GSTIN numbers should belong to the same name of the individual /entity or business as registered on eBay and the GSTIN should match the Indian State address that you registered with on eBay.

The rest of the details / documents are optional while registering as a seller for the first time but would be required later to complete your KYC Process. Know more about KYC process and check the list of acceptable required documents before uploading. You can always re-visit your registration details and submit these later.

Review and Confirm:

Once you are done with submitting your Business information and selecting your scanned documents click on "Update Details & Upload Documents" button and you are on your way to start selling and have a successful business on eBay.

Business Type:

Please select the correct valid business type. Please note based on your business type selection you will be asked for further scanned document proof to complete your KYC process.

  • Individual

  • Sole Proprietor

  • Company /Business

  • Partnership Firm

  • Trust & Foundation

  • Limited liability partnership(LLP)

  • Hindu Undivided Family(HUF)

Permanent Account Number (PAN):

Permanent Account Number is a code and card (pan card) that acts as an identification for individuals, families and corporates, especially those who pay Income Tax. It is a unique, 10-character alphanumeric identifier, issued to all judicial entities identifiable under the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961.

You will need to scan your PAN Card and upload the same while registering as a seller.

Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN):

Goods and Services Tax Identification Number. All the business entities registering under GST would be provided a unique identification number known as GSTIN or GST Identification Number. Click here to know more about GSTIN.

To download your Registration Certificate, log in using your valid credentials on the www.gst.gov.in website to access your dashboard, go to Services > User Services > View or Download Certificates and click the Download button. One can register for GSTIN by visiting www.gst.gov.in

You will need to scan your GSTIN Certificate and upload the same while registering as a seller.
