Promoting your eBay Store

If you intend to sell on one or more of eBay's international sites, you will need to accept, and we encourage you to carefully review, the User Agreement, policies, and other requirements of that site. You can continue to reach out to the relevant customer service teams on the respective eBay site of your listing or transaction, as may be applicable to the nature of your query.


Making buyers aware of your eBay Store is one key to your success. Here are some tips to help drive traffic to your eBay Store.

Promoting your Store on eBay

Make the most of your auction-style and fixed price listings.
The most successful eBay Store sellers bring buyers to their Store through their auction-style and fixed price listings, which appear in regular searches and categories on eBay. In your item descriptions, include links to pages in your Store such as the home page and custom Store categories. Use the listing header to incorporate your Store's branding, such as your colors and logo, and include links to your other Store pages and categories in all of your item descriptions.
Take advantage of Store marketing tools.

Customize your listing frame.

Always include your Store name, web address, and your branding elements (theme, colors, logo) in your correspondence with buyers, as well as invoices, packing slips, business cards, stationery, and advertisements. You can also create promotional flyers for your eBay Store
Optimize your Store for Internet search engines
Match the text in your Store to keywords buyers might enter when searching for the types of items that you're selling. Using keywords can increase your Store's chances of appearing in a buyer's search results. Include these keywords in your Store name, custom category names, and the content on your custom pages.
Check your Store traffic reports
Examine your Store traffic reports to find out where your visitors are coming from, and where they go in your Store. This information can help you create a marketing strategy and focus your marketing efforts.
